Qlik Replicate is a commercial data replication platform using agentless, log-based change data capture, spanning mainframe and mid-range systems, SAP estates, and modern cloud warehouses without installing software on the source.
A Replicate server connects remotely to sources (log access only: ARCHIVELOG with supplemental logging on Oracle, and per-engine equivalents) and streams to cloud warehouses, lakehouses, databases, and Kafka, with exactly-once apply through a persistent checkpoint store and a GUI for pipeline configuration.
How Qlik Replicate answers the questions Change Data Capture turns on.
| How it works | |
| Initial snapshot | Full load with CDC starting at the same time |
| End-to-end lag | Near real-time; log reads stream continuously to targets |
| Delivery guarantee | Exactly-once: persistent checkpoint store |
| Schema drift | DDL replicated to the target; attrep_ddl_history records changes |
| Running it | |
| What you run | A Replicate server; nothing installed on the source databases |
| Connections | |
| Sources | Mainframe, mid-range, SAP, relational and cloud sources |
| Source requirements | Log access only: Oracle in ARCHIVELOG with supplemental logging |
| Transformations | Table and global rules: filters and column expressions |
