Google Cloud Storage is Google Cloud's managed object store, offering five storage classes from Rapid to Archive and an Autoclass mode that moves objects between them automatically as access patterns change.
Fully managed with eleven-nines durability, erasure-coded across devices, in regional, dual-region, or multi-region buckets (12-hour RPO by default, 15 minutes with turbo replication). Retention locks, bucket lock, holds, and soft delete cover compliance. Events flow through Pub/Sub and Eventarc into Cloud Run. An always-free allowance covers 5 GB of Standard storage in three US regions.
